"Below are some pics of me, Bill Iliffe, skating at Cameron Park skatepark in Cameron Park CA."

"I'm 36. I work as an Electrical Engineer for Intel in nearby Folsom California. I'm definitely "old school," as you can tell by my pics. I've been skating since 1980, and my wife, Lisa, snapped these pics of me on Aug26 '01."

"Breakdown on the park: It was designed by Wormhoudt [831.426.8424], the same crew that designed Truckee. No vert in the park, but it has two decent bowls, the larger is 6-7' deep, the smaller bowl is 5' deep. There's a spine. The coping is perfect, the transitions are sweet, and the 'crete is smooooooth. The best thing about the park is that I'm still finding killer lines and sweet hips to hit. Bad thing is, the same issue I see with all Cali sk8parks, no vert, and a lot of kids standing around in the way."

- Bill Iliffe: Sep '01

More rides in this area can be found at parks in Yuba and Chico to the north. Big verticals are in effect at Grand Prix in Sacto. Heading east, keep your eyes open for the park in Grass Valley, we hear that place is going off!

Directions: Cameron Park is just east of Folsom County Correctional Facility, the former home of Johnny Cash. To get there, take Highway 50 east from Sac-town, and exit at Cambridge Road. Make a left at the end of the off-ramp, go over the highway, and then hang a left onto Merrychase Drive. The park is on the left, just past Greenwood Lane.
