So there's this skatepark in Carson that you may want to check out - or maybe not!
Pretty boring, really... if this were 1999, this park would be rad. As 2004 approaches, it's not really keeping up w/ the times.
The street stuff is okay, with a long and skinny layout like Bell Flower... probably a better layout than Bell Flower. Then there's the bowl - weak. Sucks. Don't bother.
For better transition, check out the weird bowl at South Gate or the various rides at Bell Gardens. For better street, try Downey [pics coming soon], or head north to West Covina. If you've got a few bucks to spend, Torrance is fun for a pay park.
Directions: Carson is in LA, between Torrance and Bell Flower. Closest fwy is the 110. Take the 110 south past the 405 and exit 223rd St [you'll exit 220th if you're coming from the south]. Head east on 223rd for about 2 blocks. You'll cross Figueroa and as you cross Moneta Ave you'll see Veterans Park. The skatepark is in that park, next to the Rec Center.
