* Rating: High times in Humboldt

In the summer of '00, as we limped home from 10,000 mi on the road, we stopped into Chico's skatepark. While it's nothing to move to Chico for, it's 10,000 sq ft of "home" for the locals and anyone else cruising up the 99 in search of flow.

This park is yet another NorCal zone built by the Wormhoudt guys [831.426.8424]. It's got a little bit of everything and a nice setup considering the small little park that it was built in. There's decent elevation change [= speed!], coping on a couple walls, a coping-less rounded bowl w/ hips for launching. It's got a little tech-tech w/ ledges and a traditional pyramid-style fun box. All the basics, good flow, and a least a couple of lines to keep you busy until you build your own damn park!

As always, comments and pics are encouraged. Pls send all your dirty laundry to us and we'll make you famous!

Directions: Take Highway 99 to Chico and exit at 9th Street. The exit is a roundabout and you will want to head west across the highway on 8th Street. Make a left on Flume Street, which dead ends into Humboldt Neighborhood Park and you're there!
