This isn't Wormhoudt's [831.426.8424] greatest effort, but it's not too bad. The bowl would be more fun if it was deeper and steeper, but there are some fun lines in and out and over that spine. The park flows well, but those big banks aren't that fun.

"This is my local skatepark here in Hayward, CA. This park is about 12,000 sq ft. Its one of the better parks in Nor Cal, although it could be bigger... I have lots of fun there. Best time to skate is weekend mornings, or while school is in session. It's pretty close to a couple of schools so at 3 PM weekdays, it's swarmed. Come on out and skate."

You also have some other parks to consider, including the new bowl jammer at Redwood City. The old park at Alameda is raw, but ready. Piedmont has a park, and Fremont has a wooden Ramptech setup on asphalt...

Directions: Hayward is in the East Bay, South of Oakland and the 580. Take the 880 to the Tennyson Rd exit. Head east on Tennyson. You'll cross Tampa and Dickens on your way to Tennyson Park. Once you hit the park, the skatepark is inside a fence, just off the street.

^ Not the best park in the world,
but there's a little something
for most skater's at Hayward skatepark.

^ This bowl reminds me of the bowl
in Burbank CA. Burbank's is also too
small, but since it's steeper, it works
a lot better than this one.

^ There's some technical
stuff here, too.

^ Very unique version of
the pyramid / funbox.
