Poway Skatepark
|
* Outdoor: 'Crete
* Free
* Trannie / Street
* Rating: Concrete Pow-der
Poway skatepark rocks.
It's kinda funny that the NorCAL builder (Wormhoudt skateparks - 831.426.8424) came down to the very bottom of SoCAL and kicked some ass. This place is a little small, but it's fun. And just to add injury to the some of the other parks in San Diego, Poway is pretty much hassle free. No fee, no waivers, no locked gates. That's the way it's done. Makes all the other parks look like they're run by scared little girls...
Speaking of parks "run by scared little girls" - they're fun, but they're a big pain in the ass - check out Robb Field, the bowls at Coronado, and the new park ['03] called Memorial [aka "Barrio Logan"].
Directions: Poway is north of San Diego and south of Escondido off of highway 15. Coming from San Diego, take the 15 north and exit Poway Rd heading east. You'll cross Pomerado and then you'll make a right [south] on Bowron Rd. One block down you'll find the skatepark on your left at the intersection of Bowron and Civic Center.
