Seal Beach Skatepark

* Outdoor: Wood / Asphalt
* Pay: $2
* Trannie / Street
* Rating: Old School View

Okay, just to get this process started, we're posting some pics of the Seal Beach skatepark. The only problem is, these pics are a little old and the park MAY have been redone since July '01, when these pics were taken. If you have any info on this park, pls contact us and we'll clean up this review...

If this park has been redone [rumor has it Big Daddy Inc supplied the ramps], it might be an okay place to skate - despite the rough asphalt surface. If it hasn't been redone, it's not really worth your time. As the pics show, the park was super beat down last summer. Unless they've scored some new ramps, I'd skip it if I were you.

From Seal Beach, you can access SO MANY good parks these days, all just a short car ride away. Long Beach is close by. There's a fun little bowl in Westminster. Other public concrete parks are ready to roll in the cities of Irvine, Fullerton, Bell Gardens, and Brea. We've got reviews coming soon of the parks in Bellflower, Pico Rivera, Paramount, and Whittier - all of which are fun parks. Lastly, you should take a look at Torrance, for an awesome park with lots of options - including a big "boomerang" bowl!

Directions: Coming from LA, take the 405 south. Take the Studebaker Road exit - keep right at the fork in the ramp - you should be heading south as you merge onto N. Studebaker Rd. Turn right [west] onto Westminster and then left [south] onto PCH [Pacific Coast Highway]. Take PCH south to 12th St and make a right [there should be a 7-11 at that intersection]. You should pass a "pre-school" on your right, and then make a right and get ready to park by the baseball fields. The skatepark itself is behind that pre-school. From where you parked, find the gate and walk along the edge of the ball fields to the skatepark.
