Yeoowzahas! The evil geniuses over at Wormhoudt skatepark design [831.426.8424] delivered the goods on this banger out in North Lake Tahoe, CA. - aka Truckee.
Tahoe is mostly known for that big pond they've got, not to mention the world famous snow resorts, 1000 inches of powder in a season, and local snowboard scene. While the skatepark is full of snow some parts of the year, we've seen guys in hoodies carving lines in January. The park is actually dry for most of the year when it offers up perfects hips that would make Jennifer Lopez look like an eight year old boy. No doubt, this is one of California's best parks for the hessian session.
We'll shut up and let the pics speak for themselves, but if you're looking for more action, we hear that South Lake Tahoe has a park, as well as a pool called "Strawberry" or something [Got Pics?]. Further out Reno, NV, is supposed to have a park. Back towards SF there's supposed to be a brand new park in Grass Valley. You'll find a lack-luster park in Roseville and a big vert showdown at Grand Prix in Sacto.
Directions: From Lake Tahoe take Highway 80 east to Truckee. Take the highway 267 exit and head east. The skate park is about 1 1/2 miles down the road on the left, across from the local 7-11.
