Boucherville Skatepark

* Outdoor: 'Crete
* Free
* Trannie / Street
* Rating: Le Tueur de Quebec!

After a string of sorry ass parks, we were stoked to see what Boucherville had going on...

I don't know who built this park, but it's a damn good start, and one of the better designs in the northeastern region of North America. A few things are a little jacked, but the basic design is built to flow!

For a few other rides in this area, check out Universe in Repentigny, and a woodie in Longueuil. The city of Montreal has some terrible public parks like Rosemont, a slightly better park at Pie 9, and an underground ride or two at Big "O".

Directions Coming from Montreal, take highway 25 east to highway 132 east. Take exit 18 and make a left [northwest] onto Boul. De Montarville. Make a right onto Riviere au Pins, followed by another right onto Chemin Du Lac. The skate park is about 1/4 mile on the right, near the police station. When we showed up we turned right into an unmarked dirt parking lot...

^ Grand béton dans Boucherville [Oui?]!
Reminds me of Coquitlam in BC...

^ Big walls make this
park one of the "burlier"
parks in the world... doesn't
take much, does it.

^ There's that rail
you were waiting for...

^ From the road,
the park is behind
this hill...

^ No comment

^ See how the coping
"curves" out - at
the top - toward
the center of the park?
That's probably a mistake.
Typically, that section
would curve in... I think
the designer is a little
rough around the edges,
but they're heading in the
right direction.

^ Regarding the graffiti, Palm Isle gets
the "enough already" award at this park.
