New Britain Skatepark
|
* Outdoor: 'Crete
* Free
* Trannie / Street
* Rating: Take your lumps
"The skatepark in New Britain CT is a small, odd setup."
"In terms of street features, there are two moveable quarter pipes, two big banks that face downhill [?], a bunch of steps and ledges, and a pyramid."
"There is also a horseshoe-shaped 5 ft concrete bowl that's lumpy like Aunt Gertie's thighs. Having said that, this reviewer has found it very workable on a 44" longboard, but a softer wheel is necessary. With big wheels, the lumps go down a bit easier. Still a fun place to ride a bowl - comparable to a good ditch session."
"One scary thing about this place is that it's landscaped with WOODCHIPS. Another reason to bring big wheels, and a broom!"
- Bill Helene: Aug '02
