Calvary Chapel Church Skatepark

"I recently moved to Albuquerque from Oregon [land of the mighty 'crete] and was stoked to find a great scene here at a park that's about a year old - Calvary Chapel Church in the Northeast part of town."

"This is the smoothest, best-designed park I've ridden since leaving Oregon [props to SDG on the design - 480.894.6797]... like a mini Aumsville or Lincoln City, with a spine, multi-depth bowl, and several 1/2 bowls. The open hours are kind of weird, but it's worth checking out. Helmets required, Christianity is not [except on Sundays]."

- Andy Wiseman: Jan '03

We gave them a call, and checked on hours for you - it's FREE and open to skaters from 9 AM to 10 PM Monday - Saturday. On Sundays, it's "skate ministry" only... sweet deal and generous offer for a private church to make to the public. Go get some!

Directions: Calvary Chapel is located north i-40, off of I-25. Take the the Osuna Rd exit and go west on Osuna. "You can't miss the massive church compound. The skatepark is near the rear of the cluster of buildings." The exact address is 4001 Osuna Rd. NE. For more info, call the park direct at 505.344.0880 x 201.
