Brookings Skatepark
|
* Outdoor: 'Crete
* Free[dom!]
* Vert / Trannie / Street
* Rating: "Sick!"
In an email from the park's design/build crew, we received our first hint at what was happening at the soon-to-be Brookings skatepark.
"Also to be completed - Brookings skatepark. Sick!"

And then, a year later it's done, and people are rippin' it up, and loosin' their minds and...
"A horseshoe bowl containing a super tight clover bowl with a gap jump over the clover bowl. NUTS!!! They started a list of people who have made the leap, kinda cool! Lots of flow, lots of fun. Very organic. Camping in the state park less than a mile away!!!"
- Jered Bogli: Oct'02
So, if you want some too, all you gotta do is...
Directions: Brookings isn't close to anywhere... it's in the south-western corner of OR, near the coast. You'll probably take Interstate 5 to Grants Pass [also has a good park!], then the 199 southwest back into Cali until you hit the 101 and the coast. Then, north on 101 back into OR and the town of Brookings??? Once you're there, you're supposed to "ask anyone and they can tell you where it is - the beauty of small towns!"
