When you talk about skating in "SD," most skaters would think of San Diego... well, thanks to our friends in Aberdeen, we're putting South Dakota on the map for SD's in the skate world.
"I have been receiving your free newsletter on skateparks and skateboarding. I do not see our skatepark listed among the locations of skateparks around the USA."
"The city of Aberdeen's Parks, Recreation & Forestry department [along with the fund raising of a local organized skateboarders group - ASKBOB] constructed a skateboard park in Aberdeen, South Dakota. This skatepark has been open to the public at no charge since July, 2000."

Directions: Aberdeen is in the northeast portion of South Dakota. Use Highway 12 to get to Aberdeen. Once you're in town, make a left [south] onto State Street. Follow State St. to 17th Avenue. The skatepark is in the west side of Melgaard Park.
