Proving Grounds

* Indoor: Skatelite / Concrete
* Pay: $8-6 [full/half day]
* Trannie / Street
* Rating: PG's on point!

Undoubtedly a big gun in UT's arsenal of indoor parks, Proving Grounds is as hardcore as it sounds. Big warehouse, sick flow, and old school punkrock vibe, PG in the PG is for real.

In all honesty, our pics don't really do the park justice. To begin with, we failed to score any kind of wide-angle shot to give you an idea of the layout. You'll have to trust us when we say that PG is "big country" trannie - no big vert, just every combination of kickers, banks, vert walls and ledges, sheltered from the elements for year-round neck-breaking fun. They've also got that "neighborhoods" style set up, where all the ramps are built into little clusters, and that helps keep you from slamming into each other before and after every trick. We like that. That's smart. Good job.

We should take a moment to give the owners - Sonny, Scott and Chris - a shout out. They've created a really killer spot with an authentic OG culture. Complete w/ Bad Religion blasting out the sound system and a pit bull named Brighton, they're ready when you are. For more info on the park, call them direct at: 801.356.3586

Directions: Coming from Salt Lake City take Interstate 15 south for about 30 miles. Exit on State Street (Highway 89), and head southeast for five more miles. Take a left at W. Industrial Drive; the park is on the right side of the street.
